Being Professor in the field of education from last 20 years I came across Fuel initially when I purchased Informative bookfor my son. I had not come across a movement started by youth and only for youth.
The efforts made by Fuel inspired me for assisting them . I would also like to share experience of my son omkar who was always very reluctant to speak and shy, now speaks in front of thousands of students .This could happen due to Fuel.
"You do not educate a man by telling him what he knows but by making him what he knows" .Fuel is exactly doing the same work for students who are not aware of various education opportunities. The organization which is blessed by Dr. Abdul Kalam has tremendous potential and zeal to fight for right cause.

The onset of the new millennium ushered in a major shift in the criteria for admissions into professional courses likeEngineering, Medicine, Architecture etc. across the nation. The Std. XII Boards has been reduced to being merely a qualifying exam and the aspirant now needs to excel in competitive exams to ensure the coveted seat in a premier institute.
The past so many years has witnessed utter confusion amongst parents & students as regards the admissions procedures, the methods of preparation for these competitive exams and vitally the urgent need to shift the focus from Boards to competitive exams.
Junior college teachers, most coaching classes and the government has been reticent in taking initiative to spread awareness and authentic information amongst the masses as regards the sweeping changes in the arena of admissions to professional courses.
The Fuel team led by Ketan Deshpande has done a commendable job of preparing a systematic information dossier on the various colleges, the details of the myriad entrance exams, their patterns and application procedures. This publication will serve a long way in offering considerable clarity to students, parents and even teachers and career counselors as regards the latest scenario.
I am confident that the Fuel team will come up with several more innovative contributions in the future to put the student community in perspective and in touch with the current scenario.
I appeal to all students to take cue from this energetic & young Fuel team and imbibe the entrepreneurial cum social zest that they have exhibited.

FUEL which stands for- "Friends Union for Energizing Lives", energized my own life when I officially joined it as a volunteer. I was acquainted with Mr. Ketan Deshpande's and his friends' efforts right from the beginning which awakened the sense of camaraderie in me. I sincerely felt that I should help my fellow juniors so that they do not repeat the mistakes
I did and face obstacles in their career path and so I undoubtedly chose to become part of FUEL. I feel as a part of society and responsible citizen of India it is responsibility of each one of us to share our knowledge with our colleagues and being a part of FUEL I am able to carry out this responsibility. FUEL is contributing to "Vision 2020" of empowering every Indian, so every time I have worked with FUEL, it has given me immense internal satisfaction. I feel lucky to be part of this family as it has made me a better social individual.
Today there are many callow students residing mostly in small cities who work very hard for HSC exam and entrance exams but very few end up getting admitted to desired institution. This is mainly because of lack of information and awareness.
We as a'team' are trying our best to help these students in every possible way. Though currently we have a small share in vision 2020,I am sure FUEL will achieve its goals with the support of other generous organizations , NGO's and well wishers and thus grow big so that we can reach to every student of India.
- Mugdha Choudhari is a core member of Fuel. She completed her B.Tech(computers) with Distinction and She is currently pursuing her MS in USA. Mugdha is a key example to all future fuel volunteers as she maintained perfect balance between studies and social activities.
